Date of birth: 26 th September, 1904 at Agarkhed, Dist. Bijapur, now in Karnataka

- Was a Dakshina Fellow at Deccan College
- M.A. (with distinction) London University, in Linguistics, School of Oriental Studies, London (1928)

- Lecturer in Sanskrit, Karnatak College, Dharwad 1930-1949
- Officer on Special Duty, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, New Delhi
- Organised the Song & Drama Division for the First Five Year Plan Publicity. Later Script Officer in the same division (1954-1956)

- Emeritus Producer, All India Radio and Doordarshan, 1979-1981
